The first step is placing a pre-order deposit with us to secure your spot in our build queue. After placing a deposit, you will be invited to join our exclusive online community where we will connect with you and other future owners. You’ll have the opportunity to provide input to the team as we mature the design and follow along with our progress!

When your build slot is scheduled, you will travel to our facility in Denver, CO and build 51%+ of your aircraft with the Intrepid family in one to two weeks. When you arrive, you can expect our talented and experienced team to be along side you for the entire build of your aircraft. Our intent is not only to empower you to maintain your aircraft over the course of it’s life, but also to build a community of builders and owners with intimate knowledge of the aircraft so that we can all learn and operate our aircraft together safely.

After you have built your aircraft, we will run through a full gamut of testing in our facility to ensure you have a safe aircraft that is performing as expected. Before you can take it flying though, it needs to be issued an Experimental certificate from the FAA. Fear not, on the last day of your build class, we will have an FAA inspector come to the facility and issue your experimental certificate. By working closely with the FAA, we are able to make what is usually a time consuming, complex, and frustrating process headache free for you.

Before taking your new aircraft home, you will have the opportunity to hop in your new plane with our decorated Chief Test Pilot, “Duff”, and familiarize yourself with the aircraft. While there won’t be any surprises since you’ve already spent time in our ground based simulator, you can rest easy knowing you have some of the best hands in the seat behind you as you expand the envelope.

Intrepid is not just building an airplane, or a company - we’re building a community. By having owners, builders, and designers connected to each, both in person throughout the build, and remotely through our exclusive online community, we are able to constantly learn and improve the aircraft together. The sensor suite on every aircraft built beams flight data back to Intrepid HQ. Our engineers constantly analyze the data to ensure every aircraft in the fleet is performing as expected and we can alert owners when there is required maintenance.
